    Finland adopt a new 'Social Pact'. To reduce the labour cost, the employees will have to bear the unemployment insurance contributions and the retirement contributions, instead of employers. They will have to work 3 days more, with a wage freeze for a unlimited period.  

    It's crisis in Finland, the country is in recession since 4 years. The new First Minister, Juha SIPILA, explain that with 'Apple killed Finland twice'. The first one, by creating I-Phone which caused the disappearance of Nokia, and second time, by creating I-Pad, which caused the decrease of paper's demand. In addition to that, the business with Russia deteriorated because of the sanctions of Europe against Moscow. 

    Like with European treaty, a country can't devaluate its money, the government has been obligated to reduce wages.

  • Local News Story

    Finland help Vietnam to improve the electrical distribution. The government lent 4,5 millions of dollars, amount drawn on its development assistance budget. This project will be realized by the Central Power Corporation in collaboration with the Finnish Company ABB Oy. Currently, Vietnam has 20 projects financed by finnish financial contributions in environment, health, water treatment and energy sectors. An aggregate amount which rises at 57 millions of dollars.

    This is the national museum, it occupy since 1916 the romantico-medieval edifice designed by GESELLIUS, LINDGREN and SAARINEN in 1910. This museum tell the history of Finland from Stone Age until XX century. 

    We can see some archaeological remains, sculptures of XIV, ethnographic collection, the retable of the church of Kalanti with 8 shutters (1420) and the mural of Gallen-Kallela (1928) illustrating the finnish epic poem: the Kalevala

  • The famous monument in Helsinki  (Part 7)

    We continuous with SUOMENLINNA, which is an archipelago of 6 smalls islands. This fortress has been built in 1748 by the Swedish to protect itself against the Russia. However in 1808, it became Russian until 1918. Today there are houses, restaurants, museum. We can see a neighborhood of Russian's house, the tomb of the Count A. EHRENSVARD. 

    To go to SUOMENLINNA, you have to take a boat next to the market place, the crossing takes 15 minutes.
